The Sayles family claim they underwent a terrifying ordeal when their house was “taken over by spirits”. Lynn Sayles (36), her husband Dave (34) and their two children were scratched while objects moved on their own. The nightmare lasted until they moved from their Grimsby house in April – and their story was recently screened on the UK Living paranormal TV series Living With The Dead.
Mrs Sayles told the Telegraph the strange happenings began when she was watching another UK Living series, Most Haunted Live, on May 6 two years ago. The show was asking for viewers to take part in a variation of the Ouija board and Mrs Sayles (36) did just that.She said: “I wondered how it all worked and all of a sudden I got a pen and paper and started writing a story. “Somehow my mind had opened up a bad spirit that was releasing these psychic thoughts. Original Productions, which makes Living With The Dead, picked up the story after hearing from the family. Series producer Richard Greenwood said: “It was a good story, from our perspective, whereby the paranormal activity got so extreme they wanted to move out. “Something had to be done, especially as they have two young kids, and I think we would have helped in some way.” Mr Sayles admitted that the filming of the show was more difficult than he anticipated. He said: “When they filmed us it was very stressful. “We had to do a lot of reconstructions and some retakes about 10 times so the whole process became much worse. “The filming made it really intense.” The family moved to another home in Grimsby, and are happy it is now all over. Mr Sayles added: “It has all stopped now since we have moved. It is such a relief.” |
